Prestige Guitars Ltd. and Eric Bass of Shinedown announced the launch of the Prestige Eric Bass Signature Bass at the 2019 NAMM Show.
The Eric Bass Signature Bass has an offset, double cutaway solid Ash body, with a one piece bolt-on hard maple neck. The body features a flat top and back in order to increase the body mass, resulting in a massive sounding instrument, while catering to Eric’s aesthetic and ergonomic preferences. The neck features a thinner overall profile for faster action and increased ease of playability. Pickups and hardware include a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound single coil pickup, for aggressive attack with strong bottom end and increased mids to cut through any rock mix; Hipshot 4 string A-Style Bridge and Hipshot HB-7 Tuning Machines keep this bass in tune rock solid. The bass is available in three satin finish options: Transparent Red, Arctic White and Natural.
“This design is the culmination of nearly 2 years of hard work and collaboration. Designing and redesigning, perfecting a bass that is exactly what Eric wants and needs both onstage and in the studio. Eric has toured for the past year and a half with various prototypes of Prestige basses, and this design is the result of real-world R&D. He played these basses in every type of venue imaginable, before we settled on the final design. It is road tested and road ready, which is a great thing as Shinedown is at the top of their game, in the midst of a major world tour supporting ‘Attention Attention,’ their most recent release which has blown up! This bass will be used on stages the world over and needs to stand up to the demands of their intense touring schedule and Eric’s intense stage performance!” – Adrian O’Brien, VP – Prestige Guitars
